My darling grandparents just celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary!
Can you even imagine, FIFTY-NINE years!?
This photo was taken of them in August 1960, the night before their wedding. It has been in their house for years and it is one of my favorites.
I told my grandparents that I would love to reproduce this image and so on our way to dinner, to celebrate with them, we stopped in adorable downtown Canton, GA to snap a few photos. I had such a beautiful time photographing them and capturing their love for one another.
We ate dinner at the phenomenal Queenies in Downtown Canton, GA and had a fabulous time as a family. My grandfather, Peepaw has Parkinson’s. My grandmother, Mammy has been his steadfast caretaker for years and is by his side day in and day out. She is always making sure that he is comfortable, cared for and feeds him when his tremors are difficult to manage. Watching her care for him has been one of the most beautiful things I have ever witnessed. He is enamored by her and can’t let a day go by without telling her how beautiful she is.
I am so grateful for their love for one another, their family and most importantly Jesus. They have taught us what it means to be faithful, to listen to the Holy Spirit’s guidance and to honor your commitments. I will forever thank God for the blessing they are in my life.
Beautiful pictures of a beautiful couple! Congratulations and happy anniversary!
These are amazing! How awesome that you can enjoy time with your grandparents and celebrate their love.
